I was hoping for this and got it. I hope the outback gets this as well.

The 2.4 turbo is pretty much a lock for the Outback.

Given how Subaru doesn’t like to spend money on special things for single vehicles I would bet  most of the Legacy details will translate directly to the Outback.

Yep, I'm stoked. My wife isn't, but I'm hoping I can change her mind.

Given much thought to the Regal Tourx? Seems like the Outback will be much more competitive where is was lacking, namely power, cabin noise and mpg with the upgraded engine. Should be a good comparison either way.

Not really, I think she wants to stay in a Subaru. She didn’t go for the Volvo idea either.  Our current outback is fine, I just wish it had more go sometimes.

I’m a bit weary that they openly admitted to using a lower viscosity trans oil to reduce power loss. Especially given Subaru’s problems with low weight engine oil to improve fuel economy.

Yeah, that’s easy to fix though. I’ve never been a fan of super thin oils anyways. There’s a good way to make power a nd a bad one.
